Hello. I'm Jules. 

Mumma to two. Wife to one. Sister to five. Auntie to way too many to count.

My whole life I have been surrounded by people. Growing up as the youngest in a huge family taught me so much about love, patience and togetherness. I was taught at a young age that anything was possible.

I grew up in a house with a super loved-up and caring mum. She did nothing but look after us kids, along with most of the other kids in the neighbourhood!! Nothing was ever too much. If I had a friend who wanted help, they always had warm dinner and a bed for as long as they needed.

I was raised by the most optimistic and hard-working Dad, who still to this day adores being a motor mechanic. He showed me the importance in loving what you do.

I studied teaching and taught primary children for ten years but in the end it wasn't enough. I didn't love it enough. So it was during my third year of teaching year 5/6 students that I found I needed to practise what I preached. "Chase your dreams…don't settle." And that's exactly what I did.

So here I am and I'm thankful that with all the incredibly talented photographers out there you have decided to stop and take a look at the stories I love to tell. The best way I know how.

Weddings

Do you travel & what does it cost?

Absolutely! I only offer a limited number of destination weddings due to missing my little ones and husband. I love travelling to new locations and will go wherever you invite me. So if you’re getting married here, there or anywhere, don’t hesitate to get in touch. I also love to work out special rates for OS weddings. Travel and accommodation are the only costs that I will pass on with no added extras. I will always do my best to keep this to a bare minimum and make any extra costs as economical as possible. As each wedding is unique, please contact me for a quote specific to your day. 

How long will you be there on our wedding day?

I am so aware of people’s budgets and time constraints. I can be there for as little or as long as you want. It’s YOUR DAY. If you need me there a little longer allow $350 per hour.

Do you work with a second shooter?

I often do, as it’s so important to capture both sides of your story. Often weddings can be very bride heavy so having a second shooter that follows the groom is the way to go. They usually only stay for the 'getting ready' & 'ceremony'. However in saying that not having a second shooter is a great way to save a few $$$!! 

Do we need to meet up?

Absolutely. I recommend that we always meet up before you even book me or if that’s not possible a Skype date is a great way to chat. It’s so important to me that there is a connection between us. That way I know you will feel comfortable with me, as I tend to hang around a lot on the big day! After this I will then send you a photography agreement for you to read over and sign. A 20% non- refundable deposit is used to secure your date with the final balance due within one week of your wedding date.

How long will it take to get our photos?

Generally between 4 and 6 weeks. Usually depends on the time of year but a sneak peak is always sent with in the first 2 weeks followed by a posted USB with all the edited images.

How many images will I get?

It depends on how long we are there for but usually a minimum of 500 fully edited, high-resolution images that are ready to print.

How do we book you for our wedding?

Either give me a call, email or fill in the contact form above, with the date and location of your wedding, as well as any other details that you would like to discuss. Then I would love to meet up for chat. After that, if you like my work (&me!), all I need is 20% deposit to secure your date.

What is lifestyle portraiture?

Whether it’s a baby bump, big or small families, newborns or just because – my lifestyle sessions are all about you and how you live your life. It’s about love & your story. Check out my portfolio for examples of my work. 

What is the investment? 

Family sessions start from $180. Get in touch for more details.

Where will the shoot take place?

I love to come to your home or somewhere close by. I find that people are most at ease there, however I also understand that this is not always possible or wanted. So often I will come up with a great spot that will suit the look you're after. If it’s a newborn shoot I generally always come to your home. You would be surprised at how amazing the most unlikely places can be captured! 

What can I expect from the session & how long will it take?

My shoots are very informal & relaxed. If it involves kids I love to get to know them a bit first. Most sessions take about 1 – 2 hours. Newborns may take longer!!

What do I wear?

I always tell people to wear what they love. What they feel beautiful & happy in. Keep it simple, keep it classic and you can't go wrong!

What areas of commercial photography do you specialise in?

As you will see in my portfolio I work particularly well with people, whether that be in fashion, education, corporate or industrial. I also enjoy collaborating with stylists and art directors tackling marketing and advertising briefs.

My deadline is tight, can you help me?

Of course! Obviously, having time to plan and prepare is always the ideal situation but please let me know what you need and when. I'll always do my best to squeeze whatever I can into the schedule.

Where are you based?

I live in Mordialloc, on the bay, so I'm most cost effective around Melbourne but am happy to travel interstate or overseas if the brief or location calls for it.

Yes, I do. You can choose to have a session on its own or as part of a wedding package. Please get in touch for a full price list with all the options.

Do you offer albums and printing services?

Yes, I do. I adore a beautiful album and I am super lucky that my talented graphic designer husband does them for me!! He is also amazing at invites and stationery for your big day so if your looking for someone let me know.
